Adarsh Vijay, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Tulane University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified surgeon who completed Hepatopancreatobiliary and Multiorgan Abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington DC. He has served as UNOS Surgical Director of Pancreas Transplantation at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Vijay performs Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Intestine transplantation in both adults and children. He also performs hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, dialysis access, living organ donation and general surgery in transplant recipients. His procedural interests center around minimally invasive hepatopancreatobiliary and organ transplant surgery. Dr. Vijay performed the first successful robotic kidney transplant in Gulf South. Dr.Vijay has published several scientific articles and chapters and has presented his work at numerous international meetings. He serves as Associate Editor and editorial & scientific review board member of numerous peer reviewed journals.
