Alex Zendel MD

I am originally from Israel, where completed a medical school and general surgery residency. I spent a year in a research fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore, and completed abdominal transplant and HPB fellowship at Recanati/Miller Transplant Institute at Mount Sinai in 2020. After fellowship graduation I worked as a transplant surgeon at University of North Carolina. My current position is an assistant medical director of Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates. My clinical and academic interests include multi-organ transplantation, organ recovery and preservation, including machine perfusion, organ access and allocation, and transplant oncology and HPB surgery.
