Amandeep Bajwa

Aman Bajwa, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Surgery at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Bajwa received her graduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She moved to UTHSC in August 2018. She completed her research fellowship training at the University of Virginia. Dr. Bajwa is evaluating the therapeutic use of mitochondria in various animal models that include kidney (IRI (AKI and CKD) and Cisplatin), liver (IRI, partial hepatectomy and regeneration), age-related macular degeneration, cancer, and diet induced obesity and associated metabolic disorders.
