Dr. Camille Nelson Kotton is the Clinical Director, Transplant and Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases in the Infectious Diseases Division at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She also holds the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Reducing the risk of infectious disease and vaccination in the transplant setting are key research interests for Dr Kotton; she has presented on these topics at many local, national and international meetings. She is the current President of the Transplant Infectious Diseases Section of The Transplantation Society, a position that she has held since 2007, as well as a committee member for several other professional organizations, including the American Society of Transplantation and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Dr Kotton serves on the Editorial Boards for both Transplantation and Liver Transplantation, and has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles, abstracts and textbook chapters. Notably, she authored the International Consensus Guidelines on the Management of Cytomegalovirus in Solid Organ Transplantation recently published in Transplantation.
