David Wyles MD

David Wyles, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Wyles earned his medical degree from Northwestern University and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Colorado. His research interests include the development and assessment of novel HCV inhibitors, HCV drug resistance, and assessment of viral fitness. His clinical research projects include studies of new HCV antivirals in both HCV mono-infected and HIV co-infected subjects. He is a member of the ACTG (AIDS Clinical Trials Group) Hepatitis Transformative Science Group and an International Antiviral Society-USA (IAS-USA) core faculty member. Dr. Wyles is also an attending physician in the Owen Clinic Hepatitis/HIV Co-infection clinic at UCSD.
