Harvey Pass MD

Dr. Harvey Pass is the Stephen E. Banner Professor of Thoracic Oncology and Vice-Chair for Research at NYU Langone Health. He has been continuously funded by the NCI since 2005 for the study of biomarkers of mesothelioma and lung cancer. He has served the IASLC as a member of the Board, Chairman of the Publication Committee, Co-Chair of the WCLC 2015, and Chair of the Mesothelioma Committee. He is the editor of two editions of The IASLC Multidisciplinary Approach to Thoracic Oncology as well as four editions of Lung Cancer: Principles and Practice. He is author or co-author of over 678 papers and was recently ranked in the top 1 percent by citations from 2011 to 2021 in Clarivate’s Web of Science citation index. He has received the IASLC Merit Award, the NIH Directors Award, the Wagner Medallion for Contributions to Mesothelioma, AACR Landon Research Award for Team Science, Pioneer Award from the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, and America’s Top Doctor since 2001.
