Martin R. Zamora, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine, at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, Colorado. He is the Director of Lung Transplantation, at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Zamora has been a member of the American Society of Transplantation Thoracic Committee and of the United Network for Organ Sharing Board of Directors, the UNOS Thoracic Committee and Chaired the Lung Allocation Subcommittee. He is a member of numerous other professional societies. He is the author of several book chapters and 150 articles and abstracts published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Zamora has been an NIH funded researcher, has been the principal investigator of multiple industry sponsored studies. His research interests include the role of viral infections in lung transplant outcomes and the prevention and management of cytomegalovirus infection following solid organ transplantation.
