Meera Harhay

Dr. Meera Nair Harhay is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is also a practicing transplant nephrologist at the Penn Transplant Institute in Philadelphia. Before joining the faculty at Drexel University, Dr. Harhay completed medical school, internal medicine residency, nephrology fellowship, transplant nephrology fellowship, and received a Master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics program at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Harhay's research interests include physical, cognitive, and metabolic function in kidney disease, health policy and inequities in kidney transplantation, and the development of new technologies to improve treatment for kidney disease. Dr. Harhay has been awarded F32, K23, and R01 grants from the National Institutes of Health. Her research has also been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Universal Research Enhancement Program, and the Coulter-Drexel Translational Research Partnership.
