Suphamai Bunnapradist MD, MS

Dr. Bunnapradist is currently a transplant nephrologist and director of kidney transplant research at UCLA. The UCLA program currently performs more than 400 kidney transplants annually. He is originally from Thailand. He did his nephrology fellowship at Tufts medical center followed by transplant nephrology training at UCLA. He also received his Masters Degree in clinical research at UCLA. His research interests are in the areas of organ utilization, novel treatment of rejection, and new diagnostic testing. He has received several grants from the NIH, FDA, pharma, diagnostics companies, and other foundations. He was promoted to full professor in 2010. According to google scholar, his work has been quoted more than 10000 times and his current H-index is 62.
