Dr Zeynep DEMIR is pediatric hepatologist. She was trained in Pediatric Hepatology and Liver transplant Unit in Necker enfants Malades Hospital, in Paris.She received her MD from Paris Cité University (France) in 2016.She is currently a doctoral student in Paris Institute for Transplantation and Organ regeneration.Her research interest focuses on understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying liver transplant rejections, and characterization of rejections profiles. She is investigating through population approach of liver transplantation and the use of innovative transcriptomic methods and analysis tools for liver biopsies to betterclassify rejection lesions and refine the prediction of the risk of graft loss. She was awarded a Phd scholarship from the SFT-Novartis in 2021 for this project.She was the co-founder and co-manager of the junior committee of the French-speaking Society of Transplantation from 2016 to 2018; and she is currently a member of the board of French-speaking Society of Transplantation, in a special interest group of Liver intestine-heart and lung transplant committee.
